Molecular Biology
This service provides extensive coverage for researchers, advising on all basic molecular biology techniques, including WB, quantitative PCR, RNAscope, nucleic acid extraction, and generation of DNA and RNA libraries.

In addition, the service carries out the assessment and genotyping of the mouse colonies. It also has a Viral Vectors Unit, due to the high demand for adeno-associated viral particles and specific retroviral and lentiviral particles in neuroscience research. This unit aims to offer on-demand constructions based on viral vectors that are used for the production of the corresponding particles (room P2) for researchers who require genetic interventions, not only from the Ci2A but also from other centres, which makes it one of the most sought-after services because of the large number of researchers who regularly use this type of tool.
