Excellence in research
As part of efforts to build a strong research climate in Europe, boost researchers’ career and standardise rights and obligations of researchers across Europe, the European Commission adopted in 2005 a ‘European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter & Code)’ [https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/charter], setting out 40 basic principles divided into four areas: ethical and professional aspects, recruitment, working conditions and social security and Training and development.

The Charter and Code have been endorsed by Ci2A and has applied for the ‘HR Excellence in Research‘ logo from the European Commission. This is a recognition of the institute’s commitment in developing an HR Strategy for Researchers, designed to bring the practices and procedures in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code).
